Optical sensors to better interact with small gadgets

Small MP3 players are very convenient to carry around, but interactions are often difficult because of their small size.

The project Minput explores the possibilities offered by optical sensors to enable these gadgets to behave like mice improved.

It is a project that must be researchers at the Human Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon. They have devised different kinds of motion: flip-flops, slides, etc.. to interact with the gadget. Their proof below shows that it is possible to construct a complete user interface without having to tap frantically on a screen.
